Some random song lyrics with some equally random sketchbook pages…

“Now am I living to get paid, just slaves for a wage all week/ I can't do no 9 to 5 told my momma sorry/I can't do no suit and tie, no I want the glory/If you knew me know my life aint like a movie starring me/ Pardon me, if it seems that I'm following my dreams/ I ain't reading off the script that they picked for me” – J. Cole in ‘Can I Live’

“The picture was left on the front porch, the back said/ "I love you, don't you ever think of me?"/ If my body goes, then to hell with my soul/ We don't even know the difference/ The dead folks in the clouds, are crying out loud” – Band of Horses in ‘Cigarettes, Wedding Bands’

“I just needed time alone, with my own thoughts/ Got treasures in my mind but couldn’t open up my own vault/ My childlike creativity, purity and honesty/ Is honestly being prodded by these grown thoughts/ Reality is catchin’ up with me/ Takin’ my inner child, I’m fighting for it, custody/ With these responsibilities that they entrusted me/ As I look down at my diamond-encrusted piece” – Kanye West in ‘Power’

“Off to college, yes you went away/ Straight from high school, you up and left me/ We were close friends, also lovers/ Did everything for one another/ Now you're gone and I'm lost without you here now/ But I know I gotta live and make it somehow/ Come back...to me, Can you...feel me, Hear me...callin' For you/ 'Cause it's been too long and I'm lost without you/ What am I gonna do?/ Said I been needin' you, wantin' you/ Wonderin' if you're the same and who's been with you/ Is your heart still mine?/ I wanna cry sometimes/ I miss you” – Aalyiah in ‘Miss U’

“With your feet in the air and your head on the ground/ Try this trick and spin it, yeah/ Your head will collapse/ If there's nothing in it/ And you'll ask yourself/ Where is my mind” – The Pixies in ‘Where is My Mind’

Dear Snow, I hate You.  Love, Wild Kingdumb

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

The narrative and back story of the three main characters of The Wild Kingdumb:

There once were a small group of brilliant yet obsessed scientists that were hard at work on new forms of artificial intelligence. The only thing keeping them up to date on the comings and goings of the world around them was their single TV in the corner of there subterranean laboratory.  None of them remember how it all happened but news reported that a zombie outbreak was beginning to take place!  It was spreading like wildfire and all humans were starting to turn into… zombies.  The scientist fearing for there lives transferred there minds and souls into the very machines they were working on as fast as they could, to save themselves and to possible help save the world.  The three men had succeeded… sort of… they had become one with their machines and had found their way around the zombie apocalypse.  There was just one problem.  The zombie apocalypse they had seen on the news was actually just a movie… now the three are doomed to walk the earth as machines until they can figure out a way to return there ‘beings’ to their once human form.

IOOSHI...

IOOSHI was a brilliant scientist and caring man, but since the change into a machine he cannot remember anything of his personal life, even his own name.  He has named himself from the serial number on his underside of his right arm that reads (the correct side up): ‘142001’, but from his perspective it reads ‘IOOShI’.  Iooshi isn’t sure if he has a family or friends, but knows he needs to one day remember the man he once was.

PHRIXOS...

PHRIXOS was a cold man, believing the best way to any destination is a straight line, and by any means necessary.  In creating his machine he sacrificed his pet bear ‘Kuma’ as a host like container and found a way to merge his ‘being’ into plasma that fills the bear shaped husk.  Phrixos can change the form of the plasma into whatever shape he wishes and frequently changes his head to match his emotions.

ALEXANDER...

ALEXANDER was a stoic, a hard working man who would rather nod or sigh than speak.  He was a bridge between the contrasting personalities of the other two men, and rarely took sides.  In the rush to finish their machines he used their very TV to help finish his work.  Alexander now cannot speak, but he uses the screen to type out his communications when he wishes.

Melo to the Knicks!

Just posted a bunch of new painting in the bottom of the FINE ART section, I use a lot of yellow when I paint, so here are a couple of drawings that are red and purple to make up for it…

"As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment.  Then gradually time awakens again and moves sluggishly on." – ‘Of Mice and Men’ by John Steinbeck

I love coffee.  Here is one of the original Wild Kingdumb comics (all I have is a scan of the original newspaper print) from The Daily Evergreen published on March 23rd 2004…

And here is a little sketch of a tattoo from one of my favorite baristas…

This was inspired by a bumper sticker that read; “Dear God, Please help me to be the person my dog thinks I am.”  I just call it ‘Perception’, enjoy!

I tried to add some more art that isn’t really ‘new’ but feel free to check out the LINE art and SPORTS art pages for some updates, here are a couple of them here…

This is a drawing that I did at my desk before work one day, just grabbed a red and black sharpie and my green and blue highlighter…

Here is another one of my favorites…

Here is the first 'art' post, special thanks to the people who requested them.  First an interpretation of the chant “Go! Canucks! Go” to “Coconuts Go!” from the two biggest Vancouver Canucks fans I know...

And this other one… well… it’s a zombie squirrel eating a waffle… it’s a LONG story requested by a certain person who runs LucyAndLarry.com who shall remain nameless *cough* Yoko…

Come back often and check the galleries above for even more good stuff!
